Chatsworth House / Pemberley

My sister, her husband Jeremy and I visited Derbyshire on Saturday as we travelled south again after a beautiful journey to Scotland (You can read their transcribed thoughts about that here - Jeremy blogged on the road)
We had read about Chatsworth House being used as a filming location for "Pride and Prejudice," and so excitedly, we headed over for a look...

Chatsworth House was amazingly opulent. It seemed like every detail was wrapped in wealth, then multiplied a million times over on every surface. Priceless artwork littered the hallways and every wall was a painted masterpiece. I'm not sure even "ten thousand a year" would be enough.
